Bio

Bad Colours is the Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Ibrahim Soliman. His track "Speed" (feat. KAS) appears in Forza Horizon 6, joining a catalog that has also been heard in Netflix's Spiderhead, Hulu's WOKE, and Disney's Chang Can Dunk.

His third LP, Promise (Bastard Jazz), blends house, proto-techno, soul, hip-hop, and UK garage into hypnotic club rhythms and intimate reflection. Highlights include the harp-driven title track featuring Rachel Kitchlew, the soulful floor-filler "We Never Choose" with Life On Planets, and "Freaks" with Ninjasonik. Beyond Bad Colours, Ibrahim composes original music for brands like Public School and anOnlyChild, and his sound design work includes the Museum of Sex exhibition Night Fever: New York Disco 1977-1979.

London-born, Maryland-raised, and now based in Brooklyn, Ibrahim has DJed alongside James Murphy, Mark Ronson, and Q-Tip; produced for Kendrick Lamar and Faith Evans; and held residencies at The Box, 1OAK, Up + Down, and Soho House. DJ clients include Nike, Sotheby's, Jeff Koons, the NBA, and MLB. Recent live dates span Le Bain, Elsewhere, TBA Brooklyn, Sultan Room, and Aman New York. His work has been praised by NYLON, Resident Advisor, and Wonderland, and heard on KCRW, KEXP, and CBC Radio 3.
